Hi!

very much!!!! I have seen you at Torino 2006 (free program) and
you have skated wonderful!!! I don't know to skate very well and
tonight I'll go at the city's skating field and I'll try a little
jump I want to know how it is to jump on ice!!!!
I've got to admit I've never been interested in Figure Skating until
I saw your performance during the olympic Games! Since then I haven't
missed it any time it was on tv.
Congratulations for your gold medal, it was well deserved.

I
hold my hands up and say, alright, I must have been on another planet
but up until I watched the Olympic Games this week I had no idea
who you were, that you existed, that you were/are a world-champion
ice skater. That has now been rectified. I'd like to say watching
you this week has been a breath of fresh air. I've no doubt you've
been told many times by many people what a phenomenom you are on
the ice, so I'd only be adding my voice to those before me. I was
blown away and captivated by your performance, expression, interpretation
and hope that our English TV companies show fit to broadcast more
ice skating - with you in particular - in future.
My best wishes to you and your beautiful wife, I wish you both a
long and happy life.
Trish
First
of all congratulations for the Olympic gold medal. I'm the typical
Mediterranean girl and before the Olimpiadi of Torino 2006 I wasn't
particularly interested in the winter sports , so this has been
the first time that I have watched men figure skating. You performance
have immediately captured all my attention because I have soon understood
that you skate non only with your body and your mind, supported
by a perfect tecnique very difficult to compare, but with all your
soul and for this reason your way of skating is really
unique so as unique are the emotions that rise in the people who
look you. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this wasn't your
last olympic competition because it should be a awful loss for all
the artic world! Thanks for the wonderful emotions that you have
give me.
Stefania - Italy
I
was so pleased to see you finally win the Olympic gold medal last
week - congratulations, it was well deserved! It may be fair to
say that it was not your best performance ever, but it was clearly
better than all the others. I
guess at the Olympics you have to skate carefully rather than emotionally
but it was still a very good performance.
I am so glad that you are now an Olympic champion. I think those
who have brought you this far must be very proud of you this week.
I know I am, and all I have done is watched you and trusted in you
to
fulfil your potential. Well done Evgeni - you have done well by
yourself, your sport and your country. No-one could possibly ask
for more.
Caroline van Os

I
believe it would be a miracle if this letter reached you. And would
you find it interesting enough to read? I can be sure that I am
not the first one to write you from Lithuania.
I
wonder... how many letters do you receive since you won olympic
gold. I admire the way you dance on ice, the passion you take your
challenges, the way you plan every single detail, the power of your
expression and the many things you embody. It is impossible to find
the right words for such things, for they are ment to be unsounded.
I find you dancing inspiring. With such strength you are to vitalize
the world for a deeper meaning. Do not waste it, u! se it well.
Wish you good luck.

Dear
Evgeni Plushenko,
Our names are Meagan Leslie and Steph Lau and we are from Canada
(hence the really bad Russian). We think that you are the coolest
figure skater ever! It is amazing how well you skate and how good
your English is. We're looking forward to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics
and we will be in the front row cheering you on. Congratulations
on winning the gold medal in Torino, both your short and long program
were amazing. Edvin Marton's arrangement of "The Godfathe"
was excellent and suited your skating style. It is amazing that
you have been able to master the Biellmann spin and perform the
quadruple toeloop-triple toe loop-triple loop jump combination in
competition. Is it physically possible to do a quintuple jump? Because
that would be really cool. Yay Russia!
Meagan and Steph from Canada

CIAO!Hi
Evgeni,
I was lucky to meet you back in April 2000 in New York. We had a

You probably don't remember me at all, but I wanted to give you
my congratulations on your gold medal at the Olympics. I'm also
doing very well, and now have my own award winning dance
company in the UK.

Zhenya,
My name is Chi Mei, and I live in San Francisco, California, United
States. Congratulations on winning the Olympics and getting the
gold medal! Your performance was fabulous! It must be a dream come
true for you.
Right before your free program, the USA TV broadcasted a short film
about the hardship you and your family experienced in your skating
life. It was so touching what you have experienced and your family's
sacrafices. Now, with the gold medal and all of your great achievements,
it's like a happy ending on a movie. Sweet!!! I still want to see
you skate in the World Championship in March, the 2010 Olympics,
and more competitions!!!
Good luck to you! You and your family are in my prayers! God Bless
You! I hope to meet you one day when I go visit St. Petersburg (It
seems like a very beautiful city)!
(p.s. It was VERY SWEET that you kept kissing your wedding in order
to say Hi to your wife!!)

Lauren from Norman, Oklahoma
CONGRADULATOINS
EVGENI
In our opinion you are the best skater in the world and deserve
every award you have gotten and will get in the near fututre. We
read on the internet that you and your coach were in a wreck on
your way to the airport leaving Torino. Though the internet said
you were fine and your coach had a minor
shoulder injury we still wanted to make sure because I have learned
that the internet isn't always correct. We all hope you are fine
and if you are hurt you are in our prayers and you have our best
wishes. Though we live in the middle of the U.S. and you would have
no reason that I could think of to be
here we can only hope and dream to see and meet you. If you do come
to the U.S.A. an are any were around Oklahoma I can almost asure
you we will be cheering for you. (Thats if we can convince our parents
to drive us because
we are only 10 and 11 so we could not drive and, if we tried we
propbly wouldn't be cheering for you because we would have benn
in a wrech.) I have not convinced my mom we need to fly to Canada
in March. I told her it would be an early birthday present whch
is in April but she didn't by it. We may
never meet you but we will always be watching you on the T.V. and
you will have our good luck. We also want to say congradulations
on getting married.
Love ya,
Sincerely,
Lauren M., Ali S., Alix C, Amanda G., Charlotte M.
Congratulations
on your Olympic Gold! Although I am not a figure skater, I have
watched you skate since the late 90s. Your story really inspired
me more than anybody I have ever known; all the work and effort
you put in to help your family's future, all the sacrifice and hardship
you had to overcome to come this far, and most importantly, all
the courage and love you put into this sport and to the fans, I
could not ask for a better hero on this earth. Thank you Evgeni
for all you have done and for continuing
to skate for your fans. Best of wishes on your marriage and hope
to see you live one day (hopefully by that time I will be fluent
in Russian)!
PS. Please forgive me. I could not resist adding this. I agree with
the other fans, please do not cut your hair. I do not know if you
were planning to but the other fans' comments got me a little worried.
Hehe.
Love,
Eileen
hi

Hi!
I'm an italian girl but i'm really happy of your triumph in Torino!!!
I thank you for the wonderful show you gave us!
Irene
Dear
Evgeni,
You were amazing in the Olympic games, breath taking!!! Congrutulations!
While you were on ice our hearths beated for you, we were right
there with you. And now you have reached the point and I am sure
you will continue to get rewards of your lifelong hardworking. Your
skills are incredible. Go for it Evgeni, you deserve everything!
I was at a friend's house when I was watching the men's free programme
of the Olympic Games (I had to force my friends to watch the programme
bec. they are not much interested in ice skating) Although they
didn't have much attention through the competion, when you started
skating, they were like hypnotised, they were enchanted!!! Your
style, your energy, the fire in your eyes, your passion, your artistic
figures, your confidence impresses anyone that watch you! You become
something out of this world when you are on ice and this is not
exaggeration. We were all breathless when you finished your part.
And it was quite clear that you would be champion. No other skater
gave that feeling. You are fire on ice!
And now I am waiting for your gala show impatiently. I am sure you
have some original show to present as you always did. You are full
of fun and joy in gala programmes, you break the coldness of ice.
You know how to touch the hearts of your audience. And smiling suits
you fine, I hope you will never loose your smiling face to life.
I have read from your website that you had a small accident. God
saves you! I hope you are allright.
With love,
Gokce from Istanbul
Dear
Evgeni,
Congratulations on winning the gold medal. I have been watching
you since the last Olympic games in Salt Lake city. You finally
did it! You always give us hopes and dreams. Thank you Evgeni! Please

Sachiko, from Tokyo, Japan

When I saw you during the olimpic competition few days ago, I was
really astonished, had no words left to define your beautiful skating.
Now I just wish I was there in Torino to see your performance live!
I study languages (would like to learn Russian as well!) and I hope
I'll be able to follow your next figure skating competition live,
in any other country!
I wish you and yor family all the best!
Genia (same name means same surname!)
A big kiss from Italy

Hi!
My name is Wang Jingjiao, a Chinese girl. You can call me Jony.
Your perfect performance on short program and free skate, attracted
my attention. Then I found some information about you from your
official website. To be honest, I think you are the real genius
and king in the ice world.
And the result was ideal and thrilling. Give you my sincere congratulation!
I have special love for ice, snow and everything related to them,
maybe for the more contact with them from my childhood to nowadays.
My hometown Harbin is a beautiful place, especially in winter, in
which we hold the annual Ice Snow Festival. If you have chance to
here one day, I can do a tour conductor for you.~_~
Best wishes,
Joni from China

Many, many congratulations on your gold medal win! It's your turn
and your time to shine. Thanks for all the enjoyment you have given
your fans over the years and good luck for many years more in the
future!
Watching you skate tonight certainly left clear that there's no
better skater in the world, and that you are at the top of your
game. Two astonishing Olympic programs, beautiful jumps, stunning
footwork, and an great artistry are not only the best of your skating,
but the charisma and the beauty that your skating has given the
sport, as well as keeping pushing the envelope in the technical
as well. I¡&hibar;ve followed your skating since 1998
and you were my favorite ever since, and chee! ring for you in every
Europeans, Worlds and the past Olympics. I'm SO happy that you finally
got the only title that you had missing and specially because you
TRULY DESERVED It like no one else in the world. I'm glad to know
that you'll stay eligible to see you win more gold! Congratulations
for your Olympic Gold Medal, your wedding and I truly hope everything
will be beautiful and gold in your future. All the Best!!!
A thousand congratulations from Mexico Muchas Felicidades!!!

Priviet Evgeni!! Very very very good job!! You are absolutely superior
to the others. My name is Carlos Brito from Mexico City. I wish
you the best for the next olympics and world championships, maybe
an useless wish, because you acttually are the best. I just hosted
some Russian students from MGIMO and began to understand Moscow
culture that in fact is so nice. My guests really enjoyed their

have done it already, on Your marvelous performance in Tourino as

so dynamic and full of expression. I am grateful for every single
pleasant moment I spent watching Your victories and I wish You happiness
and satisfaction in Your public and private life.

Congratulations!
Of course you were perfect as always. I am a fan of yours. I am
American, but a skater of your quality happens rarely. But I have
to write that the three American skaters deserved better scores.
How could the judges even under the new scoring system put Stephane
Lambiel, who fell all over the ice ahead of any of the three American
skaters. I E-Mailed you before for you to put a right side profile
on the internet, fortuneately I have a right side profile from our
news paper so that I can paint you over Nijinsky.
Keep up the beautifull proformances. elaineengland@sbcglobal.net

Hi Evgeni, my name is Silvia and I've just become a great fan of
yours.
I've always liked watching ice skating on tv, but I've never followed
this sport with the same passion of most of your fans, I just watched
it occasionally... and it was almost casually that I saw you for
the first time at Torino Olympic Games two days ago, and I had never
seen anything like that! I had never felt so excited and moved by
a skater before. I was mesmerized by your performance, sitting on
the edge of my sofa without blinking, with bated breath, my hands
clenched in fists... How can I explain that? What I saw was not
only a wonderful performance, there's more than technical perfection
in your skating... when you skate you are pure poetry. I can't find
any other word for that.
I've spent the last two days thinking about you and I couldn't stop
myself from sending you this email. I just hope you'll be glad to
know that you've touched someone's heart with your skating and that
you have one more fan in the world. Congratulations for the most
deserved gold medal I've ever seen in my life.
A big kiss
Silvia

Dear
Mr. Plushenko,
I haven't seen anyone with your talent since Mikhail Barsyshnikov,
Fred Astaire, or Maya Plisetskaya. And you perform on ice! And if
that wasn't enough, I find it positively fascinating to watch your
hair's movement as you move. It is a constant echo of your fluidity
and grace. I'm not trying to be funny or make a joke. I am serious.
So, please, don't cut it. It's the perfect complement to your great
and fine talent.
Sincerely and respectfully,
Lizzy

Congradulations
from Canada, Vancouver.
You skated so gloriously, passionately, beautifully, and strongly.
Thank you for this great performance.
I just met you last night on TV, and i am so proud of knowing you
and watching your glorious performance.
Everything seemed to be perfect in your program: your style, speed,
technique, strength, attitude, harmony, balance, outfit, ...everything.
I don't know why most men who practice figure skating tend to look
womanly, which is not pleasant at all! , but you skated so manly,
like a real gentleman, so strong and confident. It was beautiful,
beautiful, beautiful.
Congradulations from my heart and soul.
God bless you

Congratulations
to Evgeni on both his wedding and the gold he won before his program
was over. Yes I did cheer for him more than the Americans. After
those first two jumps... i could breathe easily because i wanted
him to win. And he did, by FAR. i am so glad and happy
that he is doing what he loves and his loved ones are part of it.
do tell him, sir, that even people who have never seen anyone skate, never
been on ice, never seen extensive ice, a skating rink, or
even a pair of skates... such as me, are cheering him on. And wish
him, his great coach and wonderful choreographer the best of luck.
In our prayers he and his family will be.
Godspeed Russia!

Hello!
I am a 16 year old swimmer from England, and consequently the Summer
Olympics is usually the event that grips me to my seat. However
this year I have been following the Winter Olympics, in particular
the figure skating, and you blew me away. Figure skating is something
that is completely new to me, but I was able to recognise a genius
when I saw one! I was entranced by the grace with which you moved
and the components that you perfected. It was a priviledge to watch,
and no less. Your performances were moving, and you have inspired
a new interest in the sport to me!
A massive well done for the gold medal, and the phenomenal margin
of 27.12 points, I am amazed! I am sure you feel that you have achieved
something special, and I hope that you have had the time of your
life.
Congratulations! And always keep smiling,
Natasha Turner
Dearest
Zhenya,
Words simply cannot express your magnificence...You are, without
a doubt, THE KING on ice; The MASTER of figure skating; The LORD
of the rinks....No one in the history of figure skating will ever
be able to match up to your excellence, that's for sure! Your jumps
are sensational, textbook quality; your turns are exquisite; your
footwork is exhilarating; your emotions are phenomenal; and your
charisma, ohhhhh, that charisma....I am speechless!!
Honestly, in Turin, you didn't just deserve the gold, you deserved
those silver and bronze medals too; no one should have stood on
that podium but you. Seriously, I don't know why people carry on
with these competitions, we don't need to have world championships
anymore, the whole world knows who the master is!!
God bless you and protect you and you deserve all the good things
that come your way. A heartfelt congratulations for your success,
you genuinely deserve it.
ALL HAIL EVGENI PLUSHENKO.........Olympic gold medalist, 3 time
world champion, 5 time european champion, figure skater extra-ordinaire....

Hello

I think I have nothing new to say but still...it is always a pleasure
to see the "tsar" skating. What a great artist!
Regards from switzerland,

Dear Evgeni,
Congratulations for winning the olympic gold medal! I know that
this was your dream for many years and how much you have worked
to prepare for this. You were absolutely fantastic in both programs!
Your skating was so good from the technical point of view but also
the music was so powerful expressed into every mouvement, both in
Tosca and Godfather. I am watching figure skating from 1998 and
I am for four years a fan of yours. Every time I see you skating
I feel also the pressure of the competition and hoping with all
my heart that you win....no other skater made me feel in this way
...
I really hope that you will continue to skate in these competitions
(not as a professional skater) because this is the only way to see
you ...I don't want to retire from figure skating..I don't imagine
not to see you any more skating....I will be very unhappy...You
bring some more happy moments into my life...So, I wish you health
and happiness and to win some other championships ! And don't forget
that your fans want to see you skating and adore you.
Gabriela, a fan from Romania
Dear Zhenya,
I see in your many fan messages that there is another fan from the
USA who calls themself 'Nor.' That is what I sign, too, but I am
not the same one. You were fantastic in the short program at the
Olympics, and capped it off with a great program in the free skate.
I have followed your career since before the last the Olympics.
I have never seen a skater who has the talent, both athletic and
artistic, that you have. And I have watched a lot of skating in
my life. I follow your career on the internet and on TV and always
will as long as I am able to. Congratulations, and best of luck
in the future. I hope you go to the World Championships, too, and
continue your skating career for a long, successful time. I'm sure
your fans all hope that. You are a complete original. There is no
one like you and never will be. I wish you a long, happy and successful
career, marriage and life. We love you.

When
I was visiting St. Peter in December 1997, I filmed a little video
clip in the hallway of the Yubileyniy katok. You were just a kid
then. My comment on this video was: "this is Zhenya, a future
Olympic champion" Now this is true!
I'm so happy for you, Mr.Mishin and you parents. They must be very
proud of you! And you parents must be so happy.
Since I have known you for 9 years, I have always thought of you
a little bit as of my son.
Over the years I was able to see you grow from a skinny teenager
to a beautiful young man. I wish my son Patryk were like you! He
doesn't do any sports, only plays Poker on line, he is quite good
at it, last year he received a free trip to Monte Carlo for a week.
But he is very lazy. Anyway, the Words are in Canada this year,
I may see you in Calgary (I don't know if I'm going, because of
my work).
I have gotten married too,in October 2004, it was very exotic wedding
in Cook Islands in South Pacific, right on the beach. So far, so
good!
Congartulations on your wedding, I did read all about it on internet.
Hope to see you soon!
Anita

you are the best skater in the world! I just had to look up your

tell you! Most guys in figure skating look very feminine, but you
blew them
all away and didn't give up your masculinity to do it. Good luck

Michael Becker Howdy from Texas!
I was excited to see you win the Olympic Gold in Torino. You exude
athleticism and a graceful style of skating which is rare. Congratulations
on your win and your recent marriage. I wish you and your family
the best. You are an example of how sacrifice and hard work pays
off in the end.
I wish you many more triumphs in your skating career!

Dear
Evgeni,
I waited four years to see you win the gold! Congratulations! You
were fantastic. I am a big fan of yours and I greatly admire how
you have struggled in your childhood to become the perosn you are
today. It is incredible to think that you had the courage and stamina
to continue to follow your dreams. There are few people that have
that ambition. Evgeni, you are an inspiration to me. Thank you so
much, and goodluck with all you do!
Love,
Virginia
Dear
Evgeni,
Congratulations on winning the Olympic GOLD!!! My name is Adina
and I am 19. I have been keeping a close watch since I first saw
you in 2002 at the Olympics. Thanks to catching a glimpse of you
on TV four years ago, I now take skating lessons :) You are a true
inspiration. Even my little sister (who is 4) called me to tell
me "Shenko is going to get gold!!!". Congratulations on
all of your achievements and good health to you in the future!

Dear
Evgeni,
We were highly upset on Tuesday night when our broadcasters only
crossed over to the figure skating right at the end of your program.
So my husband went and complained that we missed both yours
and Daisukes short programs and they rebroadcast it for us
the next day. We then watched the final last night and were so happy
to see you take Gold!!! This has been coming for the past 4 years.
It was a mere formality. We are truly happy for you and you deserve
everything good that will be coming your way as Olympic Champion.
You have given your fans in Africa many hours of great skating.
Good Luck for the future.

I had
noticed you kissing your (wedding?) ring while waiting in the
"kiss and cry" area and wondered if you had gotten married.
But I had heard
nothing about it so looked it up on your website and find that you
did get
married this year. Your wife is very pretty and since she is in
her third
year of university must be intelligent as well. So congratulations
on that
and of course, BIG congratulations on winning Olympic Gold today.
I have grown kids older than you, so please say hi to your Mom for
me.

My name is Ania and I'm from Poland I just want to say that I truly
admire what you do, you're really the best skater I know. I don't
have many occasions to see you skating because I don't actually
move from my country but when I have that change I never miss it.
I hope that someday you'll visit my country so I could see you live:)
Oh ! and congratulations of winnig gold medal in Torino. Honestly
- I knew since the beggining of this competition that you'll win.
My mum says that I put a spell on other skaters so they all did
wrong :) but it's not true, they just not as good as you are.Well
that's all I don't want you to get bored while reading this . See
you! (I hope someday)
Best wishes
Ania

You're the reason why figure skating has been among my fav sports
for the past 7-8 years, Evgeni! I'd waited so long for this moment,
I can;t believe it finally came!
And another moment that i hope is about to come in a few days will
be seeing you in Torino! I live in Romania, and tomorow my bf and
i are takin the plane to go to Torino! I had planned this trip since
last summer, just the thought of meeting you has given me so many
thrills! Hope I will succeed to enter the exhibition, as the tickets
are all sold out:(. I'm gonna do everything in my power to see you,
to ask for your autograph, take a picture with u and tell u what

Love you!

Dear
Evgeni,
First I have to congratulate you for the gold medal in Olympics!!
As always you
give us the best reason to watch figure skating!!
Me Nikoleta and my father Lazaros are big fans of yours, we live
in Greece,
where as you may know unfortunately there is no figure skating.
Our dream was
to see you skating live and this year we were almost there, we had
reservations
and tickets for the European championship in Lyon but some days
before my dad
got sick and he is in hospital since then. Last night we watched
you from
hospital with great joy, my dad waited for this all day and there
is no need to
tell you how good was that for him. I want to thank you with all
my heart
because you made him feel better and happy.
My dad worries that now that you won the gold medal in Olympics
you will stop
skating.
Thank you and wish you all the happiness in the world professionally
and personally
Best regards
Nikoleta & Lazaros
Congratulations
on your Olympic victory.
To see you perform is to be in a word of beauty and perfection if
only for a few minutes.
Unlike other performers you become one with the ice, confident and
unafraid, you treat the ice as a dear old friend and after many
years of training and persistence, it clearly loves you back. This
is what I see when I see you perform and I would like to thank you
for this exceptionally beautiful gift you bring to this world.

My name is Irini Stipsianou and I am writing from Thessaloniki Greece.
Over here you have a huge fun club who freezed during your freestyle
program, even the Mr. Alexis Kostalas, the speaker during the finals
couldn't comment on anything during your program. I hope that in
the future, everything you wish will, happen. It is a great d eal
to dedicate on something, demanding even cruel, since you don't
know if you reach full recognition, however, when you succeed, you
forget about the sacrifices, the pain, the frustration and the only
thing that stays is a big smile. I would like to give also my congratulations
to an excellent trainer, Mr Alexei Mishin. May he have always athletes
who deserve him like you!
Irini
Good luck to the rest of your life, may you never been forgotten!
Congratulations Evgeni,You are really "The Zar".
Your programmes were very expressive and emotional.
They were perfect !

I've been following your career for several years now
and I've always knowen you are paramount but now that
your Olympic competition is over for this year the
whole world now knows too! Congradulations my dear
sweet soul. You are such a humble and appreciative
person. Your perseverance has paid off. I love the way
you respect and honor your family. Your wife is the
luckiest woman in the world. Not because you are a
champion but because of the amazing person you are on
the inside. Your Mom and Dad did an excellent job
raising you and I would like to say "Thank you" to
them for bringing you into this world and teaching you
to be the person you are.
Please keep skating!!!
Sincerely, Joanna in Wisconsin, USA
Hi

Dear
Evgeni,
I delighted to see your performance at the 20° Winter Olympic
Games of TURIN 2006. The excellence of your both performances are
more and more important the your Gold Medal. Gold medal is something
tha belong to you. Excellence, under my point of view, is not only
the result of your very strong job and attitude, but also a gift
of God. I don't conceal to believe a lot, I'm catholic.
We have to distinguish skating from other athletic activities for
the particular fairness of motions, atmosphere, music, harmony.
I'm an Italian lawyer and my job seems so far from your world and
your activity field. At the same time, I have one of my best assistants,
jounger than me obviously, is now in Turin for another type of race.
I don't conceal to believe that everything is excellent, particuarly
when is strictly connected with human capability, is, at the same
time, an expression of fairness. Fairness is also a way to comunicate
in our world and something that can unite people of different origin,
culture and so on. You are the most important representative of
skating in the world. Don't forget, with your job, your performances
all around the world, your seriousness, that you can teach and represent
a lot of very high values for everybody, particularly joung generations.
Don't forget to be a witness of very high values.
A lot of congratulations for your perfomances and Gold medal. Please,
accept my best wishes for your future, as man and athlete.
Best Regards
Claudio Gandini.
Hello
Evgeni,
i want to thank you for being the best. I was in cloud nine when
I saw that you have becowe olimpic champion, although I knew from
the beginning that you are fabulous. I want you to know that I love
You very much and I hope that some day we will meet. Congratulations!
Iulia V. from Romania
I am
just one of millions who admire and respect you personally and professionally.
I never have witnessed such beauty on the ice. You are magnificent.
Words cannot adequately describe the awesome performance and the
overall beauty.
I believe many of us Americans were pulling for you to win the Gold
even against the American skaters. You are light years ahead of
any skaters and it showed in your performances.
I have a good friend who lives in St. Petersburg, Slava Nazarov,
and he admires you as do all people who know of and about you.
Hope you plan a skating tour in the united States as the American
people will respond so favorably to you personally and professionally.
It would be neat if you could bring your lovely wife and your loving,
unselfish, giving parents.

Evgeni,
Congratulations on your Olympic win!!
You make ice skating look so easy and beautiful. Once you stand
on the ice
a person can sit back, relax and enjoy your program. But the time
is too short and then its over. But your special 'awe inspiring'
ways make it easy for one to patiently wait for your next performance
as its never a disappointment.
Wishing you well on your marriage, may you both have many happy
years together.
Best Wishes,
Pamela Hampton
Hi
Evgeni,
I'm Sophie from Hungary. This country isn't so far from Russia,
I think (as I see the distance in the maps). I have never been to
Russia, but my mum spent there a half year while she was attending
to college. I'm a quite big fan of you, and my friends as well.
I saw you at Torino and you're the best! I would like to congratulate
for winning the gold medal! I hope you will continue your career
after the Olympic Games. I hope one day I will see you skating on
an ice show not through the TV. Imagine, I do sport too! I'm a floorball
player. This sport is really similar to ice-hockey but we play it
without ice and instead of skating we are running. It's a quite
new sport and not as famous as ice-hockey but we have (for example)
world cup too. I heard that you got married recently...I would like
to congratulate and I wish happiness to you and your wife too!
Good luck and best wishes!
Sophie
Dear
Evgeni,,
congratulations! Yesterday I was sure taht You'll be the one to
win, however I was a bit anxious. Just have to say taht You didn't
let Your fans down.
Instead of having classes in penal law, we were sitting with my
friends discussing the question - is there anyone to compete with
You?
The answer was OK:)
Once again - congartulations!

God is with you. All good thoughts on your gold and thank
god you are ok because of the accident. Ever since you became visible
on the ice skating arena you and your soul have touched my
heart. Even though I am an American, any contest I have seen you
in I wanted you to win. You have a spirit that reaches out. I truly
wish you all good things and joy enjoy your victory and your
family.
God Bless you always.

Congratulations
for Evgeni Plushenko for his excellent accomplishments. When my
husband & I heard the story of the sacrifice that was made to
get to this point in his life and career, we both agreed wholeheartedly
that, for the sacrifice alone, Evgeni deserves to have won. Fortunately,
the sacrifice is matched by an exquisite talent -- a winning combination
not only for the Olympics, but for life itself.
We are Americans who applaud true talent, sacrifice, and good works,
and wish Evgeni success in all future careers. Our hearts go out
to him and to his family, who worked so hard and gave so much to
achieve such levels of success. Bravo!
